Is drinking bottled mineral water the same as sticking your head in a river?

Was just wondering… do they purify it at all, or is it literally the same water in the rivers/streams that flow down the mountains?

      it’s filtered from a stream, but don’t expect any mountains nearby. sticking your head in a stream might get you lots of sediment.
