Can it be regular water or mineral water?

Hey..well I asked a question not too long ago about how to make my hair wavy. I got really good answers, thanks. The girl told me that sea salt is a natural wave enhancer. She said mix 3 tbs of sea salt into a spray bottle full of mineral water. I dont have mineral water, so my question is, can I use regular water instead of mineral water? And will it work the same?
