Andre J. Sylvester asked:

If you are like me, you probably have heard that drinking mineral water benefits your health and well being. What you may not know is that different types of minerals are already present in drinking water. Many people know about the bad things they want removed from drinking water, and don’t realize there are good things in water, too!

While the body is made up of over 70% water, the body functions best when there are various minerals supporting the body’s natural processes. Electrolytes in your body are replenished through the presence of minerals. Scientific research has shown that mineral water aids the natural cleansing of toxins from the body.

Since the beginning of civilization, people have sought out natural sources of mineral water benefits. Early doctors recommended drinking these waters to ease chronic problems with digestion and illness. They also recommended soaking in mineral water baths to aid the joints in recovery from illness.

The body uses a variety of minerals for necessary functions. Iron is used for delivering oxygen through the arteries of the body. Magnesium regulates blood pressure and strengthens the immune system. Sodium regulates the fluid levels in the body. Calcium strengthens the teeth and bones.

Now that we know how the body gets mineral water benefits, you need to understand that some water purification systems will not preserve these key supporting minerals.

Reverse osmosis systems were designed to remove all minerals from water. This was useful for the original users in the printing and photography industry, but the results are not so good for water drinkers.

Distillation systems have some of the same drawbacks. When water is heated up in a distillation system, water turns to vapor. This vapor leaves behind any minerals or impurities, and is then condensed back to a liquid state.

The results of these systems are the same: demineralized water. This water cannot provide the support that benefits the customer in the way that mineral revitalization water purification systems can provide.

Do yourself a favor and act on the information provided here! Your body needs the mineral water benefits that can be obtained from naturally occuring minerals in drinking water. Look for the water purification systems that can best meet this need, and you will be on your way getting your mineral water benefits!

Frances Taylor asked:

When was the last time that you visited the doctor for a health check? Are you keeping your body in good order?

It’s a fact that most of us don’t drink enough but one of the easiest ways to stay in good health is to drink more water. That prompts the question - is drinking mineral water healthy?

It is well known that all the water that is found on earth contains minerals. These minerals are naturally occurring substances that are formed during a natural geologic process which have a specific physical property and characteristic chemical composition. So, just how do these minerals help us?

Mineral Water Facts

Natural mineral water H20 is different from boiled water because it includes a certain level of minerals. These elements usually come out from the ground.

There are no additional minerals added to this water. Mineral water is defined as water that contains large amounts of dissolved gases or minerals. This water that comes from natural springs generally includes a high content of magnesium sulfate, calcium carbonate, sodium sulfate and potassium.

The good news is that if you drink mineral water healthy bodies are an almost inevitable result. Why is this?

Consuming Mineral Water

Of course we are all different and we all have differing needs. Nevertheless, we all have the same basic needs as far as minerals are concerned.

There are two ways that you can obtain the minerals. You can either eat them or drink them. Your body then uses them to keep you in good health. If your diet lacks minerals then you will eventually get sick.

The quickest and easiest way to obtain what you need is by drinking good old plain mineral water.

Minerals are essential to maintain a healthy human body. If the drinking water lacks these minerals then your body would get them from other sources within your body. This can leave your body cells depleted.

Experts recommend that you do not drink demineralized or distilled water on a regular basis. When you do so it can be bad for the digestive system and can also lead to mineral deficiency in your body.

To decide if mineral water healthy for your body then you will have find out what exactly is in the water.

However as it has a number of nutritional properties for your body, such water should be considered very healthy. Apart from this you should be aware that removal of these minerals or lack of these minerals in water could also make you sick.

Still not convinced that mineral water is healthy and worth drinking?

Getting Mineral Water

The major problem with bottled water is that it’s so heavy and difficult to transport from the store. Where can you get an unlimited supply of natural mineral water H2O?

Some people choose to install a residential reverse osmosis system. This works by forcing the water through a porous membrane. In this the size of the pores would determine which substances flow and which get blocked.

The problem is that minerals generally tend to be larger molecules and so the reverse osmosis method can actually reduce or block the mineral content in the water to even nothing.

A better option would be a filter system. Most often known as selective filtration, this method takes out the contaminants but leaves the trace minerals in the water. This method is very cost effective, much cheaper than buying bottled water. You have access to an almost unlimited supply of great tasting, chemical free water for cooking, drinking, bathing and other water needs.

So there you have it. The answer to the question is drinking mineral water healthy? Absolutely yes.
